About me

I am an experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist working with individuals and couples online. I am a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council and adhere to its ethical code of practice.

I gained my experience working one to one at community counselling services and in private practice. I have worked with a variety of issues, including anxiety, stress, depression, illness and death, spiritual issues, different kinds of trauma and relationship difficulties.

I have worked with couples struggling, for example, with life changing moments, such as starting a family, parenting, affairs, separation/divorce or bereavement. I also worked with couples who found it hard to communicate, who felt there was something missing in their relationship, felt misunderstood by their partner or were stuck in their challenging dynamics. This experience was gained over both short and long term counselling sessions.

Initially, I trained as a TEFL teacher, working and living abroad for many years. This exposure to different cultures and religions has been so enriching, and particularly beneficial in my role as a therapist. When thinking about other peoples’ lives, I find it very important to take into consideration their cultural experiences. I have a particular interest in how we have been shaped by a wider system, like a country of origin.

With my vast experience,  I believe that starting therapy has the potential to lead to a more satisfying life.
